FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
[Mesa, AZ] Brick Cave Media today announces the inaugural Brick Cave Film Festival, to be held October 26th, 2019 at the Historic Nile Theater in Downtown Mesa, AZ. The festival will feature short films created by submitters from any part of the world, with the 3-10 minute films being based upon stories that are provided by Authors Published by Brick Cave Media.
In speaking about the new event, Brick Cave CEO Bob Nelson said, “We are excited to continue to expand Brick Cave’s presence in media with the Brick Cave Film Festival, and with our own film experience that extends back over 10 years, we know that the stories our authors create will inspire some great films.”
The organization has announced that the submission process will be open to filmmakers starting March 1, 2019, and will be managed through the FilmFreeway.com Festival Management site. From the time that the stories are released on March 1, Film makers will have five months to complete their film and submit before the deadline of July 31, 2019. Filmmakers will be given access to all of the stories, and can choose to create one or more films to be entered into a story category. Film submission will be free of charge, and the winner in each story category will receive a cash prize.
Filmmakers will be asked to based their film on one of the stories, but are encouraged to bring their own interpretation to the screen. “These are not scripts,” said Mr. Nelson. “These are starting points for filmmakers to use in their own creations.”
The stories will also be available to readers as well. “We are making the stories available to everyone.” continued Mr. Nelson. “So, all of the stories will be widely available as eBooks at no cost. It’s our goal to get people excited to see the finalists for each story, have a favorite author/story and really get engaged in seeing how these filmmakers interpret each story.”
Additional Information will be available to anyone interested at the domain brickcavefilmfestival.com, and the organization will host a series of live Q&A events prior to the opening of the submission period on March 1, 2019.
